August 1 All schools must submit to DPI, using the on-line application system, copies of eligible MPCP applications accepted during the school's February through July open application periods.

Deadline for NEW MPCP schools NOT offering summer school to:
• Submit to DPI a current certificate of occupancy from the City of Milwaukee that certifies the building and facilities meet all school codes
• Submit to DPI a copy of the school’s certificate of insurance or other evidence of having obtained the minimum insurance coverage required under program rules, unless a risk or insurance consultant provides a written recommendation for a different amount of coverage; and
• Obtain a fidelity bond indemnifying the private school against loss resulting from dishonesty, malfeasance or neglect by owners, officers or employees.
September 1 Schools must submit to DPI their Financial Information Report (FIR) for the 2008-09 school year.

Schools, using the on-line application system, must submit to DPI copies of MPCP applications accepted during the August open application period. Any eligible applications submitted after September 1st for pupils enrolled on the 3rd Friday of September will not generate a state aid payment until November. Schools, using the on-line application system, must submit a class list of all MPCP pupils enrolled in the school by last name and grade level to the DPI by this date to generate a September state aid payment for those pupils.
  10 First Pupil Assignment Council meeting at 4 p.m., at St. Josaphat Parish School, 801 W. Lincoln Ave., Milwaukee. MPCP schools are reminded it is important to have a representative attend the meeting as important information is disseminated.
  18 Schools take the 3rd Friday in September count of MPCP pupils enrolled in their school and prepare, using the on-line application system, a corresponding class list of MPCP pupils by last name within each grade level.
  29 DPI sends out the September state aid payments to eligible MPCP schools by UPS, based on each school's eligible applications and corresponding class list submitted to DPI by September 1, 2009.
October 1 The completed on-line application system 3rd Friday in September membership report, corresponding class list by grade level and last name, and any applications for those enrolled MPCP pupils not submitted by September 1st are due at DPI. Review best practices tips and DPI checklist before submitting.
  15 The continuing eligibility report form, indicating the criteria to be used in meeting one or more of the four standards for continuing eligibility the school will meet in the 2009-10 school year, is due at DPI.

MPCP schools that offered summer school to MPCP students in the summer of 2009 must submit the summer school program report to DPI by this date in order to receive state funding.
November 1 New schools must submit their revised budget and cash flow form to DPI.
  TBA Second Pupil Assignment Council Meeting, 4 p.m., at a location in Milwaukee to be determined. MPCP schools are reminded that it is important to have a representative at each meeting as important information is disseminated.
  23 DPI sends out the November state aid payments to MPCP schools via UPS. Payments are based on the third Friday in September membership report, corresponding class list and eligible applications on file at DPI.
December TBA DPI sends all participating private schools the following documents for the 2010-11 school year: (1) the Notice of School’s Intent to Participate; (2) student rights letter; (3) MPCP student application form; (4) MPCP informational brochure for parents; and (5) a suggested random selection agreement.
  15 Deadline for all participating MPCP schools to submit to DPI the third Friday in September enrollment audit and the fiscal practices report.
  31 Deadline for schools new to the program in the 2009-10 school year to apply for accreditation, unless already accredited or approved for PAVE scholarships for the 2005-06 school year.
January 8 Schools take the second Friday in January count of MPCP pupils enrolled in their school and prepare, using the on-line application system, a corresponding class list of MPCP pupils by last name within each grade level.
February 1 Deadline for private schools to submit the 2010-11 Notice of School’s Intent to Participate form, random selection agreement, and letter on student rights to DPI in order to be eligible to participate in the MPCP in the 2010-11 school year.
    The completed on-line application system Second Friday in January membership 2009-10 report, corresponding class list by grade level and last name, and any eligible student applications not previously submitted are due at DPI.
    The summer school questionnaire is due at DPI for schools interested in offering a MPCP summer school program during the summer of 2010.
  TBA Third 2009-10 Pupil Assignment Council meeting, 4 p.m., at a location in Milwaukee yet to be determned. MPCP schools are strongly encouraged to attend the meeting.
  25 DPI sends out the February MPCP state aid payments to eligible MPCP schools by UPS. Payments are based on each school’s 2nd Friday in January membership report, corresponding class list and eligible applications on file at DPI.
March 1 New schools that plan to offer summer school instruction to MPCP students must submit a copy of their validated application for the school’s certificate of occupancy filed with the City of Milwaukee.
    If applicable, new schools offering summer school instruction to MPCP students must submit a copy of their validated application to the city of Milwaukee Board of Zoning Appeals.
May 1 Deadline for ALL NEW schools to:
• Submit to DPI the notarized initial assurances form with required attachments;
• Submit to DPI the budget and cash flow report; and
• Participate in DPI approved fiscal management training.

Deadline for NEW MPCP schools that will NOT offer summer school to:

  15 Due date for schools offering MPCP summer school instruction to submit a list and description of the school’s summer school instruction for required review by DPI.
  27 DPI sends May MPCP state aid payments to MPCP schools via UPS. Payments are based on the second Friday in January membership report, corresponding class list and eligible applications on file at DPI.
June 30 Schools must submit a report to DPI that provides evidence that the school has met at least one of the four standards in the 2009-10 school year for continuing eligibility for the MPCP in 2010-11.
    Schools must submit to DPI the number of accepted and non-accepted applications for the 2009-10 school year.
    This date also marks the end of the 2009-10 fiscal year for purposes of the 2009-10 FIR that is due to the Department of Public Instruction by September 1, 2010.
